Sandy Kirk - Managing Director, Edwards Engineering

Sandy has over 40 years’ experience in engineering and has worked for consulting engineers, civil engineering and mechanical engineering contractors. His wide range of experience includes working on projects as varied as large dams, bridges and football stadiums. He has been with Edwards Engineering for the last 30 years, the last four years as Managing Director. He spends most of his free time enjoying family life and supporting all the various sports and hobbies that that entails.

Ben Carter - Chief Executive, Edwards Engineering

Ben’s background is in major project delivery and performance improvement in international supply chains. He has worked with and for a number of leading global businesses including Rio Tinto, Babcock International, Orica and CP Kelko and has a broad range of industry experience across chemicals, paints, lubricants, explosives, mining and agriculture.

David Alexander - Director, Edwards Engineering

David is an experienced investor and operator, having both invested in and ran smaller businesses across a wide range of sectors. He retains a number of non-executive positions in companies across the UK, is an active investor and is a director of the UK Business Angels Association.

Dougie Davidson - Site Project Manager, Edwards Engineering

Dougie ensures our larger customer projects are safely delivered and installed on site. Over his 36 years with Edwards, Dougie has worked with all of our large Agricultural, Milling, Malting, Distilling, and Industrial customers.

In his own words, Dougie identifies his key skill as safely putting big heavy things into small, usually inaccessible, high places. His responsibility on customer sites includes Health and Safety management, risk identification and the development and maintenance of all Method Statements.

Sandy Knight - Agricultural Manager, Edwards Engineering

Sandy takes responsibility for our Agricultural customers. Sandy’s focus is on project management from conception through design, procurement, installation and commissioning. Sandy and Kevin Anderson work closely together to bring the mechanical and electrical requirements of our customers together.

Sandy has been with Edwards for 14 years and has experience of all of our customers’ sectors including grain handling and malting and distilling on Speyside and Islay. He also has experience offshore where his experience was broadened to include the control of high-risk activities.

Kevin Anderson - Electrical Manager, Edwards Engineering

Kevin is our Electrical Contracts Manager. Kevin started with Edwards in 1989 as an electrical apprentice and has risen through the ranks to the Electrical Manager position.  

Kevin’s experience is varied and includes grain drier installations and maintenance, oil-fired burner servicing and installations, PLC work, panel building, automation and control.

Kelly Robertson - QHSE Manager, Edwards Engineering

Kelly joined us in November 2016 having previously worked as QHSE Manager in the Oil and Gas sector.   Kelly provides significant support to the management team in managing quality systems and the health and safety requirements across both our workshop and our customer sites across the UK.  With a solid understanding of the risks and process involved in maintaining a safe working environment for our team, Kelly has a hands-on approach and has built strong relationships across the company and with our customers.

Timo Henkel - Project Manager, Edwards Engineering

Timo joined Edwards in November 2016 and is responsible for the delivery of estimates, assisting in contract negotiations and project management. Timo has a strong background in Project, Sales and Supply chain management in the Oil and Gas industry where he was also responsible for the on-site industrial coatings facility.
