This year we've welcomed five apprentices to Edwards Engineering; Keillor Lowe, Colin Gillies, Kyle MacLeod, Evan Smith, and Matthew Christie – all pictured here in their boiler suits.

They will complete all their training and SVQ’s in welding and fabrication over a 3 to 4 year period.

Lewis Anderson and Reece Stewart, in their Edwards Engineering fleeces, are both third year apprentices in our electrical department. Lewis joined us in 2017 and Reece earlier this year from McGill’s.

Our other three apprentices, Marc Wilson, Bobby Crockart and Martyn Maxwell escaped their photo being taken as they are all now in their third or fourth years, working on various sites across the UK.

From our three acre, 45,000 sq ft base in Perth the successful apprenticeship programme ensures their skillsets are being honed in-house with apprentices accounting for around a fifth of our workforce, alongside our experienced engineers, project managers, draughtsmen, site operatives and highly-skilled fabricators.
